SYNTHIA was represented at the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) Coordinators Training Day, held on 21 April 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.

Cristina Abad and María Algarra Deltoro, Project Managers from Medical Research Institute La Fe (IIS La Fe) Grupo de Investigación Biomédica en Imagen (GIBI230), participated in the event on behalf of the SYNTHIA consortium. As Project Coordinator, IIS La Fe plays a central role in ensuring scientific, technical, and operational alignment across the project.
The training brought together coordinators from across IHI-funded projects to address key aspects of the project lifecycle. Sessions focused on grant amendments and compliance, technical and financial reporting, communication strategies, and the exploitation and sustainability of project results.
Participation in this event reinforces SYNTHIA’s commitment to strong project governance and high-quality delivery, fully aligned with the project’s vision to advance trustworthy synthetic data in healthcare.
Beyond the formal sessions, the event provided an important opportunity to exchange experiences, share best practices, and strengthen connections across the IHI community. It also offered a valuable moment for the SYNTHIA coordination team to reconnect in person with our IHI Project Officer, Paloma Mallorquin.

Moments like these highlight the importance of collaboration and personal interaction in building a strong European research ecosystem and accelerating progress in healthcare innovation.
