The Summer School 2025 is organised by the Innovation Center TheraNova and will take place on September 29–30, 2025 in Frankfurt/Main, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and innovators for two days of scientific exchange and career development.
SYNTHIA Partner Katja Herzog of Fraunhofer ITMP will participate and present in the session: „Building Bridges: From the European Health Data Platform to Synthetic Data Innovation“.
The first day features a series of presentations on cutting-edge biomedical topics, including artificial intelligence in drug discovery and development, novel molecular strategies for targeted protein degradation, and the role of extracellular vesicles in intercellular communication. Further sessions explore the potential of synthetic data innovation, as well as advances in oncology research (Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, melanoma, hepatocellular carcinoma), neuropathic pain therapies, cardiovascular recovery, arthritis treatments, and novel antiviral strategies.
On the second day, the programme continues with discussions on new therapeutic targets and molecular mechanisms before transitioning into a dedicated career workshop aimed at supporting the professional development of early-career researchers. The event will conclude with a guided visit to the Museum für Kommunikation, including the exhibition “New Realities: Fashion Fakes – AI Factories”.
