The Norwegian National Center for e-Health Research is organizing a webinar with the topic: How to use synthetic patient data to develop safe AI solutions. The webinar will be held on 12 September 2025 (in Norwegian).

SYNTHIA partner Vibeke Binz Vallevik, Senior Researcher at DNV, is the speaker of webinar.

In this webinar, the discussion will be around how generative AI models can be used to create synthetic health data, and what role they can play in developing and testing AI tools for patient care. Legal and ethical frameworks, as well as the risks of identification and bias in the data base, will be looked at.

The webinar is based on the latest research in a collaboration between DNV, the Norwegian Cancer Registry/FHI and SYNTHIA. The presentations will give insight into how synthetic data can be used as a tool for innovation and research, while discussion are planned to talk about what is justifiable and acceptable from a societal perspective.
