SYNTHIA is being showcased in the European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD) Annual Conference, “A Decade of Joining the Dots – Towards Bridging Data Spaces,” reflecting on past achievements and exploring future priorities like the European Health Data Space and AI adoption in health systems. i~HD 2025 will take place on 3 and 4 December 2025 in Ghent, Belgium.

Theme of the i~HD annual conference is: "A Decade of Joining the Dots towards Bridging the Data Spaces". The conference will look back on ten years of collaborations in improving healthcare and research through better use of data, and look ahead to the future with timely topics such as the European Health Data Space and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence by Health Systems.

SYNTHIA partner Jean Louis Raisaro, Biomedical Data Science Center, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV), will present in the session: "Privacy preservation within real and synthetic data spaces: Is synthetic data a silver bullet for data privacy?"

The i~HD 2025 conference will feature plenary keynotes from leading organisations, EU projects, and expert groups, alongside parallel sessions built around three core tracks: the future of Health Data Spaces, adoption of health innovation, and maximising value from the European EHR exchange format. Additional highlights include keynotes on health data quality, AI, equitable and safe EHDS, and a closing debate. The conference brings together policymakers, researchers, clinicians, innovators, and patient representatives to shape the future of health data in Europe. Check out the conference program and/ read more >
