On 5 October 2026, SYNTHIA will be represented at the SHAIPED Stakeholder Forum, bringing together stakeholders to exchange perspectives on health data and AI.
SYNTHIA Partner Ahmed Youssef Ali, key expert at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, will present SYNTHIA during the session “Data Readiness Reality Check: Is the Data Actually AI-Ready?”
The session will explore practical experiences with the secondary use of health data for AI development and evidence generation, an important discussion for SYNTHIA as we work to enable the generation and use of high-quality synthetic health data across different healthcare applications.
Connecting initiatives across the European health data ecosystem
Collaboration and knowledge exchange with complementary initiatives such as SHAIPED are important for connecting expertise, sharing lessons learned and addressing common challenges around health data and AI.
SHAIPED (Supporting Health Data Access Bodies to establish AI pathways enabling Deployment of AI as medical device tools) aims to empower AI in healthcare through enhanced data access. The initiative supports the development of AI as a medical device by optimizing data pathways and enabling Health Data Access Bodies (HDABs) to strengthen the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
We look forward to contributing SYNTHIA’s perspective and exchanging experiences with the wider community on how data can be made ready for responsible and effective AI-driven health research.
