On 9–10 September 2024, the SYNTHIA project is officially launching at IISLAFE, the Health Research Institute Hospital La Fe, Valencia, Spain.
The event is bringing together experts in biomedical research, AI and healthcare innovation, representing 32 consortium partners including academic institutions, industry, regulators and patient advocates from across Europe and beyond. With a shared vision and strong momentum, partners will show their commitment to advancing synthetic data solutions that enhance research, accelerate innovation and improve patient outcomes.
The meeting will feature welcoming remarks from SYNTHIA’s coordinators, an overview of the project’s mission and objectives, and input from the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) on the project’s alignment with European health data strategies. Workshops and panels focused on SYNTHIA’s six use cases, tools and methods for synthetic data generation, quality assurance and clinical validation, and federated infrastructure and data security.
Over the next five years, SYNTHIA will develop a European synthetic data platform, new tools, real-world evaluations and engagement with regulators and policymakers to support the adoption of synthetic data in healthcare.
