On 15 December 2025, SYNTHIA will take part in CFE–CM Statistics 2025, the 9th International Joint Conference on Computational and Financial Econometrics (CFE) and Computational and Methodological Statistics, taking place in London, UK.
SYNTHIA partner Vibeke Binz Vallevik, Senior Researcher at DNV, will present in the workshop on Synthetic Data Generation and Evaluation, about the abstract titled “Mind the gap: From synthetic data to regulatory confidence in healthcare AI.”
The workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners working on the generation, validation and responsible use of synthetic data. Planned discussions will address key challenges for the field, including reporting and evaluating synthetic data quality for regulatory purposes, hallucinations in tabular synthetic data, and privacy considerations under GDPR.
For SYNTHIA, participation in this workshop will be an important opportunity to align research perspectives with emerging regulatory and methodological needs, and to exchange views on how synthetic data can be used responsibly and transparently in healthcare and AI-driven research.
